Information for Museums We provide a wide variety of news and information to all museums in the county through our quarterly newsletter, Essex Museums News, plus regular mail-shots and e-mail updates. The Essex Museum News is published 4 times a year and is distrubuted to all museums, stakeholders, funders, councillors and libraries. If you are interested in suscribing to the news or wish to submit a story please do not hestiate to contact our editor [ ]. We moderate a cross-domain e-mail discussion group. This group is for staff and volunteers in museums in Essex, to exchange news, information and ideas about any aspect of collections management. If you wish to join the group either send an e-mail to or contact Emma Hartley. MIEC also holds a lending library of around 180 titles, covering numerous themes related to running a museum. Including museum management, care of collections, audience development, interpetation & displays, funding and documentation. All museums are invited to borrow from the library.
