Brightlingsea Museum

Situated close to town centre facilities the museum has extensive displays connected to our maritime heritage, from stowboating and oysters to the shipyard which employed so many local men building vessels that saw service all over the world, as well as our membership of the Cinque Port Confederation, the only member north of the Thames.

Admission charges:
Free. Donations welcome.

Opening Hours:
Easter to September - Saturday 10am – 4pm,
Sunday & Mondays 2pm – 5pm
